If your house have a good sun exposure, why not take advantage of the energy it receives from the sun and convert it into electricity for self-consumption and/or thermal energy to provide domestic hot water and space heating?

Currently, the cost of 1 kWh of electricity produced by a photovoltaic solar installation is lower than the price charged by electricity supply companies.

In Portugal with a Photovoltaic Solar System for Self-consumption you can generate your own electricity, becoming energetically autonomous and reducing electricity costs.

Beyond the right to produce electricity for self-consumption, you can also store and trade the surplus electricity production.

Nevertheless, you can always choose not to inject the surplus energy into the public grid and prefer, for example, to use it to power a Heat Pump or a dehumidifier integrated in a Rainwater Harvesting System.

Heating and Cooling

Heat pumps are very efficient heating and cooling systems and can significantly reduce your energy costs.
